ENTERPRISE AI GATEWAY

Enterprise AI gatewayShared model access. Clear operational control.

Connect shared model access with clear authentication, routing, budgets and audit boundaries.

Connect business applications to model services with a shared plan for interface adaptation, identity, routing and cost visibility. Validate one application before expanding to more teams.

SIX AREAS OF SUPPORT

Six areas to plan around every request.

Confirm capabilities against your existing systems and target platform, then scope configuration, development and validation work.

Shared interfaces & application adapters

Inventory APIs and SDKs, then validate parameters and response formats for text, streaming, tool use and multimodal tasks to reduce repeated integration work.

Possible deliverables
API inventory, compatibility matrix, integration examples and test records.
Discuss this area

Identity, access & credential management

Design access by application, environment and role. Plan credential storage, distribution, rotation and revocation without exposing service keys in browser or device code.

Possible deliverables
Role and model access matrix, credential lifecycle and handover guidance.
Discuss this area

Model routing & failure handling

Plan model selection by task, region and data requirements. Define timeouts, retries, throttling and fallback, checking output differences, duplicate charges and data destinations before switching.

Possible deliverables
Routing rules, failure-handling checklist, fault simulations and fallback tests.
Discuss this area

Project quotas & cost attribution

Define usage units, quotas and alert owners by department or project. Separate budget notifications from hard limits and prepare evidence for internal allocation and upstream reconciliation.

Possible deliverables
Metering and attribution rules, quota plan, alerts and reconciliation process.
Discuss this area

Request observability & audit records

Track latency, errors, usage and request identifiers. Define redaction, retention, storage limits and access controls instead of logging prompts and responses without boundaries.

Possible deliverables
Metric and log-field inventory, alert thresholds, retention and troubleshooting guide.
Discuss this area

Model evaluation & ongoing improvement

Compare task quality, response time and costs using redacted examples. Regression-test model and policy changes and incorporate human feedback, rather than comparing request prices alone.

Possible deliverables
Test cases and acceptance criteria, evaluation records, staged rollout and rollback guidance.
Discuss this area

These are potential solution areas, not features included in every platform or plan. Model access, interface features, quotas and deployment options require validation.

USAGE & VALUE

See who uses AI, and how well it works.

Use visibility, allocation, controls, measurement and optimization to turn usage records into management decisions, rather than merely collecting logs.

Visibility

See applications, models, usage and cost ownership.

Allocation

Assign access and quotas by department and project.

Controls

Define budgets, alerts and exception handling.

Measurement

Evaluate value through quality, latency and cost.

Optimization

Use evaluation results to refine models and policies.

Text, image and video tasks may use different billing units. Budget alerts are not hard spending caps: agree enforcement and reconciliation rules for quota updates, concurrent requests and upstream billing.

YOUR STARTING POINT

Choose a starting point that fits your environment.

Scope platform capabilities separately from implementation. Buying a product does not complete integration with your business systems.

01 / PLATFORM

Start with the XFusionAI platform

Review the platform's model access, organization and usage management, then confirm available interfaces, features and entitlements. Scope business integrations, data processing and custom rules separately.

02 / EXISTING ENVIRONMENT

Build around existing models and cloud services

Assess reusable provider accounts, APIs and cloud resources before planning an access layer and governance policies. Include networking, identity and deployment constraints without assuming a full migration.

Discuss your existing environment
ASSESS, IMPLEMENT & HAND OVER

Validate one workflow before scaling access.

Agree representative tasks, test cases and launch criteria upfront so every stage has a reviewable outcome.

  1. Define the scope

Inventory applications, models, data types, peak usage and owners.

  2. Validate representative cases

Test interfaces, output quality, streaming and failure behavior in an agreed environment.

  3. Configure & stage the rollout

Configure access, quotas and telemetry, then onboard applications in stages with a rollback plan.

  4. Accept & hand over

Review agreed cases and metrics; hand over runbooks, permissions and follow-up actions.

SCOPE & SHARED RESPONSIBILITY

One entry point does not remove every boundary.

Compatibility, data handling and service assurances require separate validation. Architecture goals are not guarantees.

Test compatibility feature by feature

A shared API does not mean zero changes or full native-feature coverage. Streaming, tool use, files and asynchronous jobs need separate validation.

Confirm the full data path

Gateway location is not necessarily model-processing location. Review request, log and file destinations, retention and provider terms. A gateway does not automatically ensure compliance or eliminate prompt-injection risks.

Separate service terms from delivery

Agree model charges, platform licensing, implementation and ongoing support separately. Coverage, capacity and service assurances depend on upstream limits and validation, without guaranteed savings or uninterrupted operation.

FAQ

Questions before you connect.

Is the enterprise AI gateway the same as XFusionAI?

They serve different roles. A gateway solution designs application access and governance; XFusionAI is a possible platform starting point. Platform access does not complete business integration, and delivery scope and product entitlements are agreed separately.

Can we migrate by changing only the endpoint?

Validate first. Similar API formats can still differ in authentication, model identifiers, parameters, streaming events, tool use and errors. Test representative calls before estimating changes.

Does the gateway include knowledge bases or agent workflows?

Not by default. The gateway manages access and policies. Knowledge preparation, retrieval, inherited permissions, agent tool authorization and business workflows require their own scope and acceptance criteria.

Do budgets and fallback models prevent overspend or outages?

No. Alerts, enforcement and upstream billing are different mechanisms. Fallback models also have quota, regional, interface and output constraints. Test concurrency, retries, failures and cost attribution before agreeing safeguards.

Can we use private deployment or avoid logging request bodies?

Evaluate deployment and logging options against the platform and project. Review handling and retention at the gateway, monitoring systems and model provider separately. A privately deployed gateway does not mean the model runs locally; confirm the final design through validation.

Additional solution notes

A common entry point, clear boundaries

Inventory applications, model providers and API keys. Design a shared access layer around business requirements and supported integrations.

Questions a gateway must answer

Who can access which models? How are keys rotated? Where do requests and logs travel? How are usage, failure handling, budgets and rate limits managed?

Separate product from delivery

XFusionAI is a product; gateway implementation is an integration service; a solution combines them for a specific scenario. Confirm feature coverage and implementation scope separately.
